Tamarin McGarrity, a South African documentary filmmaker based in London, combines her passion for storytelling with the craft of tufting and punch needle. As the founder of Documinute, a series of one-minute documentaries, and a self-taught fibre artist, Tam's work is influenced by her cultural background and drive to bring ideas to life. After moving to London, she decided to explore her love for fibre art in more depth.
Through Documinute, she creates concise, impactful narratives, while her tufting and punch needle work showcases her creativity in vibrant, tactile pieces. Tam's fibre art features intricate details, vibrant colours, and emotional depth, exploring the intersection of art and storytelling.
