The Spagyric Journey: From Earth to Elixir
Our medicine-making follows an ancient alchemical path called spagyrics – a word rarely heard in modern wellness circles yet representing one of the most complete approaches to plant medicine. This process honours the three essential elements that alchemists recognise in all living things: spirit, soul, and body.
Our Mushroom Spagyrics. Our commitment to quality begins with a fundamental choice: we use only the fruiting body of mushrooms – not the mycelium grown on grain that many companies rely on. This distinction matters tremendously for both potency and purity. Using a glycerin base and a ratio of 1:2.5 you'll be receiving a highly concentrated product.
Our herbal spagyric blends. Our newest creations blend healing traditions from around the world -bringing together Ayurvedic herbs, Native American plants, European botanicals, mushrooms, and more into synergistic formulations.
When Matty and Kate’s paths merged, they began growing mushrooms in Matty’s garage, initially selling fresh varieties before crafting their first medicines. Word spread quickly through their local community in Ludlow, and soon they found themselves at markets where people were drawn to both their remedies and the authentic connection they offered.
What started as Mama’s Cottage Mushrooms blossomed rapidly, almost too quickly to maintain balance. With production happening across two households while Kate homeschooled her children, they reached a crossroads. They needed stronger foundations to sustain their vision of reconnecting people with nature’s healing wisdom.
This recognition led to the rebirth as Enchanted Earth – a name that captures their deep reverence for the natural world as a living, conscious system that offers healing when approached with respect. This evolution allows them to reach more people while staying true to the heart and soul that made their remedies special from the beginning – genuine care, quality ingredients, and ancient wisdom brought into modern life.
